Mary spent the last 5 years working and rising into leadership and management in the non-profit sector, mostly in the animal welfare field prior to coming to SOS. During that time she became very passionate about providing programs to people in our community that needed extra assistance to keep their pets, whether it be a pet food pantry program or a foster program to keep pets safe while their owners get back on their feet. Mary is currently working on her master’s degree in public administration with a focus in nonprofit management at the University of New Hampshire. Mary has experienced substance use disorder in her own family and is a huge advocate for helping people to help themselves and not pushing individuals to fit into boxes.
